American Standard Version (ASV)
Source: http://www.ebible.org/bible/asv/ The American Standard Version (ASV) of the Holy Bible is in the Public Domain. Please feel free to copy it, give it away, memorize it, publish it, sell it, or whatever God leads you to do with it.\par\par The American Standard Version of 1901 is an Americanization of the English Revised Bible, which is an update of the KJV to less archaic spelling and greater accuracy of translation. It has been called "The Rock of Biblical Honesty." It is the product of the work of over 50 Evangelical Christian scholars.\par\par While the ASV retains many archaic word forms, it is still more understandable to the modern reader than the KJV in many passages. The ASV also forms the basis for several modern English translations, including the World English Bible (http://www.eBible.org/bible/WEB), which is also in the Public Domain. The ASV uses "Jehovah" for Godߴs proper name. While the current consensus is that this Holy Name was more likely pronounced "Yahweh," it is refreshing to see this rendition instead of the overloading of the word "Lord" that the KJV, NASB, and many others do.\par\par Pronouns referring to God are not capitalized in the ASV, as they are not in the NIV and some others, breaking the tradition of the KJV. Since Hebrew has no such thing as tense, and the oldest Greek manuscripts are all upper case, anyway, this tradition was based only on English usage around 1600, anyway. Not capitalizing these pronouns solves some translational problems, such as the coronation psalms, which refer equally well to an earthly king and to God.

Catholic Public Domain Version (CPDV)
Source: https://www.sacredbible.org/ The Catholic Public Domain Version, Original Edition was completed on March 28th, 2009.\par\par This version of the Bible is called the Catholic Public Domain Version (CPDV) of the Holy Bible. The Catholic Public Domain Version of the Bible is a translation of the Sacred Bible, Sixtus V and Clement VIII Latin Vulgate edition. Three different versions of the Latin Bible were used in making this translation: the 1861 edition edited by C. Vercellone, the 1885 edition published by Desclee, and the 1914 edition edited by M. Hetzenauer. The 1914 edition was the main text used for the translation, while the other two texts were consulted from time to time. A public domain edition of the Challoner Douay-Rheims Version of the Bible was used as a guide in translating the Latin Bible into English.\par\par The sole translator and editor of the Catholic Public Domain Version is Ronald L. Conte Jr. I have relied on Godߴs Providence and Grace in translating and editing the Sacred Bible. I also have used various reference texts, in print and in electronic form. Since the Latin editions of the Bible used in this translation are in the public domain, as the sole translator and editor of the Catholic Public Domain Version of the Sacred Bible, I hereby place the Catholic Public Domain Version of the Sacred Bible in the public domain in perpetuity.\par\par As a text in the public domain, the Catholic Public Domain Version of the Sacred Bible has no copyright, trademark, or other legal restrictions. The only restriction is that there can be no restriction. No one may copyright this version of the Bible. No one may trademark the version name: Catholic Public Domain Version (CPDV). And no one may copyright any version of the Bible based on, or derived from, this version of the Bible.

These are listed in the Preface.\par\par Careful fidelity in giving true rendering of the original text into English has been maintained throughout. No regard whatever has been given to prevailing doctrines or prejudices of sects, or the peculiar tenets of theologians.\par\par Help in this work was derived from works of great and learned men. The sources include the following: lexicons, grammars, ancient and modern versions, commentaries (critical and explanatory), cyclopedias, and dictionaries (Bible and others). KJV Pure Cambridge Edition (KJVPCE)
Source: http://www.bibleprotector.com/ The actual King James Bible text of the Pure Cambridge Edition (PCE) has been presented here, free of any typographical error, and is completely correct. It is scrupulously exact in typesetting right down to the italics and punctuation.\par\par This precise edition of the King James Bible is wholly based on the received traditional text as was published by Cambridge University Press and by Collins publishers. The Pure Cambridge Edition (first published circa 1900) is the product of the process of textual purification that has occurred since 1611 when the Authorized Version was completed, and has been used (often unwittingly) as the received text for many decades. Millions of copies conformed to this edition were issued by Bible and missionary societies in the twentieth century. This text stands in contrast to all other editions (especially newly edited and modernised ones). The providentially established and correct text has, among other things, “Geba” not “Gaba” at Ezra 2:26.

He began his investigations at the age of twenty-one, and has faithfully studied the Original since that time. He has made his translation without reference to any version; that is, he adopted no version as a basis. His work is not a Revision of a version, but a Translation; for he was not disposed to be trammeled by any version, but desired to find the truth of God, as it is contained in the Original. The truth thus found, he has endeavored to express in the English language as now spoken.... \par\par __________________________________________ \par DEDICATION: \par\par The work has been carried on under many adverse circumstances; but, by the good providence of God, it has been completed. May it go forth, under the Divine blessing, to establish and comfort the hearts of those who love the Truth. \par\par H. T. Anderson \par Harrodsburg KY, March 1864
